Meet the staff in the Learning Center.
Mary Powell is the director of the Learning Center at Babson College. She oversees the operations of the Learning Center which includes the Office of Disability Services, the SPARK Peer Tutoring Program, and the Academic Mentor Program.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Providence College and her master’s degree in reading, language and learning disabilities from Harvard University.
Zach Trotsky is the program coordinator of the Learning Center. He manages the scheduling of the exam proctoring program and assists in administering the SPARK Peer Tutoring Program.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in recreation management and policy from the University of New Hampshire.
Megan Purcell is a graduate assistant in the Learning Center. She supports the director of the Learning Center in several aspects, including Disability Services, the Exam Proctoring Program, and the Academic Mentor Program.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Northeastern University, and is pursuing her master’s degree in college student development and counseling from Northeastern University.
Anthony Contarino is a graduate assistant in the Learning Center. He manages consultant training and development for the SPARK Tutoring Program and the Academic Mentor Program.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from Bucknell University, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in higher education, concentrating in student affairs, at Boston College.
