Richard Goulding is Visiting Lecturer at Babson College in TOIM. He is currently President & CEO of Unity Building Technologies, an investor-backed, cloud-based product & services platform providing globally-sourced technology to residential builders, developers and consumers.
Richard’s professional background spans senior management positions in Strategy & Development, Operations, and Private Equity Investment for both public and privately held firms. Prior to assuming his executive role at Unity, Richard was Managing Director of Fidelity Strategic Investments (now Devonshire Investors), the private investment firm affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments. He has held key executive positions at Ampersand Ventures, Ocean Spray Cranberries, Procter & Gamble and AT&T. He has served on more than fifteen Boards, with appointments distinguished by his particular expertise in new venture governance.
Richard’s research areas of interest include managing new venture risk, go-to-market model implications of disruptive technologies, and innovation infrastructure in the world’s urban centers. He has lectured at the Sloan School of Business in Cambridge, MA as part of Sloan’s Entrepreneurial Strategy and Operations curriculums.
He lives in Scituate, MA with his wife and five children.
