Dennis J. Ceru, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor at Babson College, where he teaches MBA courses in entrepreneurship, management consulting and business strategy. He is the Faculty Co-Director of Experiential Learning, and he has created new course offerings, including Developing Entrepreneurial Opportunities, the Management Consulting Field Experience, Babson Consulting Experience, Strategy & Entrepreneurship (On-line course), Strategic Consulting, numerous Executive Education Programs, as well as authored business cases and articles.

Dennis has extensive experience as an Entrepreneur and Senior Executive delivering successful business and technology solutions through leadership and management positions in the high-tech, financial services, and healthcare fields. He is a recognized speaker and author on key topics on business growth strategy for small and medium business as corporate innovation and has been quoted extensively online and in print periodicals.

He is the founder and principal of Strategic Management Associates, LLC, a company dedicated to providing business leaders with the tools necessary to expand and manage growth. His areas of expertise center on providing Trusted Advisory Services to business owner managers; facilitating Strategic Advisory Groups for executives of growth-oriented companies; and designing Tactical Action Plans to align tactics with company strategy and create metric driven dashboards. In partnership with The SBANE Educational Center he created and runs The CEOs Group, an innovative executive leadership program for growing entrepreneurial companies.

Previously, Dennis was a Director at TowerGroup where he created a strategic advisory service to the securities industry and a wealth management consulting practice for financial services institutions and technology vendors. Prior he was the President and Executive Director of Windsor Systems, a consulting and software development company that delivered custom solutions to financial services, manufacturing and technology clients. Dennis was Vice President of Product Development at First Interstate Bank, Ltd., where he lead a team creating electronic corporate cash management services for this super regional financial institution spanning 27 banks in 14 states.

Earlier in his career, Dennis was Department Director for HealthWest Corporation, providing ancillary health service programs throughout a multiple-hospital network and the managing partner of an organizational consulting and psychology practice.

He was an Adjunct Professor at Boston University, and before that an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California and a Lecturer at California State University.

Dennis earned a Ph.D. in psychology and education from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in psychology and biology from Boston University
