Professor Prichett served as chairman of the Mathematics and Sciences Division at Babson College from 1994-2000 and from 2003-2006. From 1987 to 1992 he was Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Babson. He has held teaching positions at San Diego State University, Hamilton College, and Wellesley College, and was a Margaret Bundy Scott visiting fellow at the University of York, England.

Professor Prichett is a member of the board of directors of Lee Enterprises, a media company headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, and a partner in Cairnwood Cooperative, an investment management group in Boston, MA. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Pan Mass Challenge for the Jimmy Fund, and served for 18 years as a trustee of the Hill School in Pottstown, PA and 10 years as a member of the Board of Directors of the The Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, PA.

His interests include the mathematics of finance, decision analysis, mathematical modeling, and number theory with its applications. Additional areas of expertise include strategic planning, teacher enhancement, number theory, and cryptology. Dr. Prichett has authored many professional articles and is the coauthor of two books: A Supplement to Calculus: One of Several Variables and Mathematics with Applications in Management and Economics.
