Raghu Tadepalli is Murata Dean and Professor of Marketing, F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business, Babson College. Prior to this he was Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Dean in the Williams College of Business at Xavier University. He has also taught at North Dakota State University and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Raghu has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting from Andhra University, India. He completed his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from Arizona State University and his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech.

Raghu led the successful re-accreditation efforts at the Williams College of Business, and under his leadership the Xavier MBA program grew in size and stature. Two new off-site MBA programs were introduced, as were several MBA program innovations. He also led the successful MBA curriculum revision process.

Raghu has won numerous awards for his teaching, research, and service. He was named “Delta Sigma Pi Teacher of the Year” by the students of the Williams College of Business in 2003. Raghu’s research has focused on the areas of cross-cultural ethics, evaluation of performance for purchasing agents and salespeople, and the factors that affect salespersons’ customer orientation. His research has been published in such journals as Psychology & Marketing, European Journal of Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Journal of Managerial Issues and Managerial and Decision Economics among many others.

Raghu also was Chair of the Marketing department at Xavier University prior to being named Associate Dean. He served as Co-Editor of the ­Journal of Marketing for Higher Education. Raghu has taught Marketing Strategy at the undergraduate and MBA levels and International Business at the Executive MBA level. More recently, he has offered a much sought-after MBA elective titled “Strategic Outsourcing.” He has taught such courses as Marketing Strategy, International Business, Global Marketing, Business Strategy for Small Business, Business Strategy for Mental Health Organizations, and Strategic Sourcing and Outsourcing.
