Raghu Tadepalli, Murata Dean, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, will discuss “What We Can Learn From The Current Financial Crisis” on Thursday, January 21, 2010 beginning at 6:30 PM at the Mission Bay Conference Center, 1675 Owens Street, San Francisco, CA.
The financial crisis of 2007–2010 has been called by leading economists the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Economist Peter Morici has termed it "The Great Recession." Many people are searching for the reasons why we are in this situation and more importantly, what lessons are to be learned to prevent this from happening again.
Tadepalli provides insight on this topic in an interactive discussion that centers on the causes of the current financial crisis and key takeaways from organizational, policy, financial, and personal perspectives.
Tadepalli has been an admired educator and administrator for many years, most recently serving as Xavier University’s Dean of the Graduate School of Business, and Associate Dean and Professor of Marketing at the University’s Williams College of Business. Tadepalli earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in commerce with a major in accounting from Andhra University, India, his MBA with a concentration in marketing from Arizona State University, and his PhD from Virginia Tech. He has been honored with numerous awards for his teaching, research, and service. In 2003, he was named Teacher of the Year by the students of the Williams College of Business.
