Babson Alumni Entrepreneur Is Selected To Attend First Youth International Economic Forum In St. Petersburg, Russia

Recent grad and Crelligence founder Alex Debelov is one of just 200 young entrepreneurs selected from all over the world- June 15-19th.

Alexander Debelov, who graduated this May from Babson College in Wellesley, MA, has been selected to attend the first Youth International Economic Forum (YIEF) in St. Petersburg, Russia June 15-19th, 2010. The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College is supporting Debelov in his participation at the forum.

YIEF is a global event designed to foster cooperation among young, successful entrepreneurs who look beyond growing profits in business to creating real economic and social value for their communities. Debelov is one of just 200 young entrepreneurs (18-30 years of age) selected from all over the world.

The young entrepreneurs will engage in discussions and brainstorming sessions with government officials, business executives, and scholars and make recommendations for Russia’s economic development projects.

YIEF is held in conjunction with The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). For more than 10 years, SPIEF has attracted delegates from around the world and is supported and attended by Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation.

Debelov’s entrepreneurial venture, Crelligence Media, won Babson’s 2010 Undergraduate Business Plan Competition. Crelligence is a social media marketing company that specializes in compensated consumer-generated media. The initial service called Viralskool, a creative community employing user-generated video, helps clients build better brands and better products. www.crelligence.com

Debelov also received Babson’s Outstanding Entrepreneurial Studies Major Award presented to the top senior from among the top 10 majors who are ranked by GPA. Selection is based on overall achievement in academic, entrepreneurial, and extracurricular pursuits which best exemplify a creative and enterprising spirit and high personal standards of integrity. Currently, Debelov is enrolled in Babson’s Summer Venture Program, a 10-week intensive with a focus on shaping and accelerating his Crelligence enterprise.
