Babson College Received Habitat for Humanity of El Salvador’s 2012 Annual Solidarity Award
On December 5th Babson College was named the recipient of Habitat for Humanity of El Salvador’s 2012 Solidarity Award in the “international group” category. Lisa Hellmuth, Director of Faith and Service, and Brian Duggan, Assistant Class Dean of Babson First year Program, accepted the award on behalf of Babson. The award was presented at Habitat El Salvador’s annual fundraising dinner, Café Benefica, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel this past Wednesday.

Over the last five years, Babson College has sent nine volunteer teams comprised of students and staff for a week in March to help build houses for the community. Additionally, for the past two years Babson College has hosted an entrepreneurship workshop series in the Getsemaní Community. In the award letter, Habitat El Salvador said, “Babson College has been one of our most loyal supporters”
