Green Building Bust?: How Over-Promoting/Under-Delivering Is Stalling The Movement And What Will Make It Mainstream

Kevin O’Connor, host of This Old House and author of The Best Homes from This Old House, will share his observations on why the Green Building movement is at risk of stalling, at Babson College on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 7:30 – 9:45 a.m., in the Needham/Wellesley Room of Olin Hall. Snow date: February 16.

Learn what is keeping American homeowners from rapidly moving to solar power, using better insulation, and requiring cleaner air during this lively discussion that includes:
  • The critical failures of Green Building technologies and products (so far),
  • Green building scare tactics and their effect on the market,
  • What is keeping consumers from embracing and buying alternative energy and efficient homes,
  • Which products and practices work and which make a home more valuable, and
  • What it will take to make Green Building mainstream.
