Babson Celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global events inspire entrepreneurs to bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. 

Babson College Celebrates Global Entrepreneurship WeekBabson College will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2013 from November 14-22 with a series of events and activities. Global Entrepreneurship Week brings together aspiring and inspiring entrepreneurs, helping them embrace originality, imagination and ingenuity through local, national and global activities.

The Babson-led events, supported by the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, are part of thousands of events held in 130+ countries that celebrate innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity during GEW. Aligned with the College’s role as an educator, convener, and thought leader for Entrepreneurship of All Kinds™, Babson’s GEW events highlight its priority to advance entrepreneurship education among students and the greater world community.

The STEP Project for family enterprising at Babson conducts leading edge research, generates applied entrepreneurship practices, and provides a shared learning environment. The project also examines how families generate new economic activity through venturing, renewal, and generation.

With a theme of Shaping The Future, this year’s Forum will feature a prominent group of speakers to consider entrepreneurial opportunities with the power to generate economic and social value everywhere in the world. The Forum will also launch Futurepreneurs, an initiative to encourage youth entrepreneurship. Six teams of high school students will compete for the opportunity to pitch their business ideas on stage.
