Grewal is one of just eight marketing experts worldwide included in Thomson Reuters' report
Babson College Professor Dhruv Grewal has been named to the Thomson Reuters 2014 report of The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds.
The list identifies Grewal as a person of influence on the cutting edge in the fields of economics and business. He is the Toyota Chair in Commerce and Electronic Business and a Professor of Marketing at Babson.
“These individuals are influencing the future direction of their fields and of the world. They are performing and publishing work that their peers recognize as vital to the advancement of their science. These researchers are, undoubtedly, among the most influential scientific minds of our time,” says Thomson Reuters.
Analysts from Thomson Reuters used the company’s Web of Science and InCites scientific evaluation and benchmarking platforms to identify highly cited researchers on the number of papers produced over an 11-year period, 2002-2012. The report lists some 3,200 individuals who have impacted at least one of 21 broad fields of academic research including business, economics, mathematics, biomedicine, computer science, and chemistry.
From 2002-12, Grewal published more than 60 articles in leading journals such as Journal of Marketing (7), Journal of Consumer Research (3), Journal of Marketing Research (1), Journal of Retailing (21), Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (11) and Entrepreneurial Theory & Practice (1). He currently has over 21,000 citations based on his Google Scholar Page and an H-Index of 56.
