 Visa Backlog Resolved

The State Department reports that is scheduling visa interviews and issuing nonimmigrant and immigrant visas.   More than 410,000 nonimmigrant visas were issued from June 21 through June 29. Consular staff worked through the weekend to diminish our backlog, the bulk of which has now been cleared.

Visa Issuance Delays
U.S. Embassies are currently experiencing wide-spread technical problems leading to delays in visa issuance. The Department of State is working to address these technical issues. The Glavin Office is aware of this issue and is sympathetic to any inconveniences caused by it. We are hoping that the Department of State will resolve this issue and the system will be fully functional soon.
