Education Abroad at Babson College

Studying abroad is an enriching, life-changing experience.

Through Babson’s semester and year-long education abroad programs, students can participate in more than 80 programs on every continent except Antarctica. Students learn about global issues in an academic and cultural context that broadens their perspectives and prepares them to make a difference in an increasingly global community. Living in a different culture challenges students’ assumptions about the world and about themselves, and makes them aware of both the differences and similarities between cultures. Students return to Babson with a new perspective on the world, adding another dimension to Babson’s community culture.

Babson Electives Abroad

Babson Electives Abroad (formally known as Offshore Courses) are short-term courses that combine classroom instruction with company site visits and cultural excursions. Led by Babson faculty, these courses also include in-country lectures given by partner school faculty and distinguished guest speakers. Programs are offered to students during academic breaks in January, March, and May.

International Consulting Experience

The International Consulting Experience takes the consulting experience global by providing 3-4 students teams the opportunity to work on project assignments with international corporate sponsors.  The program begins with pre-departure sessions focused on consulting methodology and intercultural competencies during the fall semester.  Travel to the company site will take place over the winter break at which time students will develop the engagement contract and begin on-site primary research.  Project work will be completed over the spring semester ending with the team presenting their findings and recommendations to their sponsor company in a written report and an oral presentation.
