What is your pre-Babson experience?
I attended the University of Pittsburgh. I worked in my current role as managing director at Fastway Engineering.
Why did you choose Babson for your graduate education?
I chose Babson because it gives the perfect combination of hands-on experiential learning along with a high-touch faculty with both industry and academic expertise.
As a Babson student, what did you do when not in class?
As a student, I was a member of the Butler Venture Accelerator (now called the Babson Launch Pad), which gave me (and my business) real resources that were not available inside the classroom. I also co-founded the Babson Graduate Auto Club to promote the Mobility Industry in a social and professional manner.
What was your favorite part of the Babson student experience?
Creating relationships with both classmates and faculty that will last much longer than the program itself.
How has Babson made an impact on you?
I was introduced to the concept of social entrepreneurship, which was not something I had really been exposed to before. It was eye opening to see how passionate some of my classmates and professors were about making an impact on real topics like sustainability and diversity while still focusing on the bottom line. It has certainly left an impression on me, and made me think a little bit differently about my company, and the impact I want it to leave on society.
