Why I Chose Babson

When I took economics in high school, I enjoyed the practical application of the material, so I wanted an education that merged my coursework and the real world. Babson’s entrepreneurial and academic curriculum stood out to me, in addition to its baseball program and strong alumni network, and I knew after my first semester here that I had made the right choice.

How Babson Impacted My Career Development

Being on the baseball team has played a huge role in shaping my Babson experience. It has shown me the value of life outside of work, and led me to pursue career options that will give me time for friends and family.

Advice That Changed My Life

The most important advice I have ever received was about the value of failing. You need to fail chasing opportunities and getting out of your comfort zone. If you don’t, you don’t grow. At Babson, there are so many opportunities everywhere to get involved and foster that growth, and to have experiences that better prepare you for the real world. Just in my classes, I’ve worked with students from around the world who have shaped my outlook on the world and my role in it, informing me about how other people live and what they value.
