Words that shaped me

“If you’re willing to persevere, you can get through anything.” – Maryann Murphy, retired PwC partner and mentor

The most important thing I learned at Babson

“I grew up in a working-class community where we were all pretty much the same. Both in the classroom and outside of the classroom, Babson helped me realize that the world is a much bigger, more complex place. Babson taught me that the more open minded you are to different ideas, different views, and change, the more successful you can be as an individual, and more importantly, the more impact you can have to help others.”

How I define entrepreneurship

“When I came to Babson, I thought entrepreneurship was starting a business. What I’ve come to realize over my career, is that entrepreneurship is being open to new ideas and being willing to try something new. That can be a new service offering, a new business line, or taking a model that works and growing it globally. Entrepreneurship is also about cultivating the ability to bounce back from failure and start over again. It’s also about believing in yourself.”
