Summer Intern Employment Offer Policy

Babson College subscribes to the “Reasonable” Offer Deadlines Guidelines set forth by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) .

Essentially, we believe that students given a reasonable amount of time to assess an offer of employment make better and more informed decisions. While for many students the choice will be a clear one, others will benefit from the ability to participate in fall recruiting events to understand all of their options. While deadlines are often necessary, we hope they are used as a guide—exploding offers are certainly not supportive of students’ decision making. Open communication between student and employer, and the career center when appropriate, will ensure a smooth process.
