Babson has committed to adhere to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). The PRME provide a framework for academic institutions to advance the broader cause of corporate social responsibility and incorporate universal values into curricula and research. Responding to the global call for business schools and academic associations to advance corporate social responsibility worldwide, Babson College signed on in May 2009.
Babson College is also a charter participant in the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS), a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to gauge relative progress toward sustainability. Babson underwent a year-long data collection process in 2010 for the submission to STARS and earned a Silver Rating in STARS 1.0. Babson is committed to continuing progress and is participating in STARS again in 2011/2012.
