Words That Changed My Life
“Stand before the people you fear and speak your mind—even if your voice shakes.” – Maggie Kuhn
I love these words because they’re a touching acknowledgment that it’s necessary to face fear, and therefore uncertainty, in order to effect change.
Why the World Needs Entrepreneurs
Leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset possess a critical, objective eye. They’re able to look at situations objectively in order to spot opportunities. I strongly believe that an entrepreneurial mindset can, and should, be applied to all areas of life—not just in business situations.
My Proudest Moments
I’ve had many opportunities to establish a number of Babson roles and programs, the large majority of which are still ongoing.
Babson is absolutely an “idea space” community. I spend a lot of time advising faculty, staff, and students on creative ways to accomplish things, both on and off campus. Babson is a community that is receptive to sharing a variety of ideas in a very collaborative environment. I never know who will walk through my door.
I think of entrepreneurship as unbridled thought. It’s the willingness to entertain any idea, and then test it for viability.
