A central gathering place on campus, anchored by the Babson Globe and Fountain of Flags.
History and Background
Global perspectives have always been important to the Babson community. Here, you can find students from more than 80 countries and an international network with more than 40,000 alumni in 114 countries. Two beloved campus landmarks, the Babson Globe and the Fountain of Flags, pay homage to our global community and the College’s commitment to educating entrepreneurs worldwide. As we approach Babson’s Centennial in 2019, these landmarks will be moved from their existing locations to become the centerpiece of a new destination on campus—Centennial Park.
Babson’s Next 100 Years
Centennial Park will be located in the heart of Babson’s Wellesley campus, across the street from the Reynolds Campus Center and Hollister Hall. It will bring Roger Babson’s vision of “an appreciation of the world as a whole” to the forefront, greeting visitors as they arrive on campus. In addition to the Globe and the flags, the plan for Centennial Park calls for green space with trees and paths where the Babson community can gather and spend time together. The philanthropically supported Centennial Park is set to open in spring 2019 and ensures that the Globe will remain a treasured part of Babson for generations.
