International Entrepreneurship Fellowship 2018-2019
The Entrepreneurial International Fellowship is an immersive executive education program that combines instruction at Babson College, a learning journey in Silicon Valley, and experiential project work. The program exists to minimize the gap between leadership and sales skills within enterprises across all sectors. Through the program, fellows strengthen their sales and marketing skills, enhance their entrepreneurship and leadership capabilities, and adopt a more global mind-set.
The Fellows are high-achieving individuals from a variety of industry backgrounds. They all have significant work experience and are driven to lead companies and organizations for growth. Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, experience has shown that each Fellow is likely to be employed by a high-growth, high-potential organization in a significant, commercially-oriented management role.
Babson College has collaborated with Saltire Foundation and Entrepreneurial Scotland since 2008 to recruit and educate international individuals through the prestigious Fellowship program. The core components of the program include:
- Babson Learning: The Fellows spend 6.5 weeks in Boston where they are exposed to the Babson’s Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® (ET&A®) methodology.
- Experiential Project Work: The Fellows will utilize their growing skill-set in relevant project work for various organizations during the program.
- A Silicon Valley Journey: The Fellows will embark on a journey across Silicon Valley, visiting with venture capitalists and ground-breaking tech businesses.
- Added Benefits: Activities that amplify learning may include meeting entrepreneurs, industry visits, and exploring alternative models for growth
The Fellowship is fast-paced and intense. Teaching is based on Entrepreneurial Thought and Action®, meaning that learning is interactive and experiential. The pillars of the core curriculum include Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Leadership, Business Modeling, Governance, Global Stategy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Scale-Up Growth, and more.
The core curriculum topics are interwoven throughout the fellowship experience to provide a comprehensive, cohesive entrepreneurial education. Classroom sessions are facilitated by leading Babson faculty, and are interactive and discussion-based. Fellows take part in a range of academic activities, including business simulations, case-studies, prototyping, pitching and more. Outside of the classroom, fellows will have numerous other opportunities including company visits, networking events, interactions with entrepreneurs, company challenges, and the Silicon Valley journey.
