Fellowships and Scholarships
Babson College is pleased to make available the following merit awards for full-time (One and Two-Year MBA) candidates.
Olin MBA Fellows
The prestigious Olin MBA Fellowship recognizes outstanding full-time MBA candidates. Each fellow receives a full-tuition, books, and supplies award in anticipation of significant academic and professional contributions to the graduate school.
Babson MBA Fellows
Babson MBA Fellowships are awarded to highly qualified, full-time MBA candidates. Each Fellow receives a full-tuition award.
Babson MBA Diversity Fellows
The Babson MBA Diversity Leadership Fellowship is full-tuition scholarship awarded to those students with the greatest potential for leadership in creating a richly diverse MBA community at Babson. No separate application is required; recipients are selected based on the strength of each candidate's admission application. Price Babson MBA Fellows
The Price Babson MBA Fellowship, a full-tuition award, is awarded based on entrepreneurial experience, academic and personal accomplishments, and financial need. Candidates for the Two-Year MBA program are invited to submit an essay highlighting their entrepreneurial accomplishments. Financial need will be determined using the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at www.fafsa.gov
(U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents only).
President's MBA Scholars
President’s MBA Scholars receive $30,000 per academic year for the Two-Year MBA program and $45,000 per academic year for the One-Year MBA program. Scholars are full-time MBA candidates and are expected to provide leadership in the classroom and Babson community.
Dean's MBA Scholars
Dean’s MBA Scholars receive $20,000 per academic year for the Two-Year MBA program and $30,000 per academic year in the One-Year MBA program. Scholars are full-time MBA candidates and are expected to provide leadership in the classroom and Babson community.
Forte Foundation Fellows
The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business is a founding member of the Forte Foundation
, a consortium of educational institutions, businesses, and nonprofit groups. The mission, shared by Babson, is to increase the number of women business owners and business leaders and to support their careers through business education and networks. Forte Foundation Fellowships in the amount of $20,000 per year will be offered to exceptional women candidates in the Two-Year MBA program.
Babson College, in partnership with the Fundación Mexicana Para La Educación (FUNED), offers up to two (2) $10,000 scholarships annually to selected incoming MBA or MS students who are Mexican nationals. FUNED is a not-for-profit private foundation whose mission is to help Mexican college graduates develop their potential to become leaders in their country. The agreement provides the opportunity for incoming MBA and MS students to apply for a loan from FUNED covering up to 40% of the total educational cost, not to exceed $20,000 for one year and $40,000 for two years.
There is no separate application for the FUNED Scholarship at Babson; Mexican nationals will be considered based on their admission application materials. Candidates are subject to the normal admission requirements and merit award criteria established by Babson College. Scholarship recipients will be notified at the time of admission. Recipients who are in the Two Year MBA program who continue in good academic standing will have the FUNED Scholarship renewed for their second academic year at Babson.
Olin MBA Scholars
Olin Scholars receive $10,000 per academic year for the Two-Year MBA program and $15,000 per academic year for the One-Year MBA program. Scholars are full-time MBA candidates and are expected to provide leadership in the classroom and Babson community.
Hamilton MBA Scholars
Candidates for the Two-Year MBA program are invited to submit an essay concerning their entrepreneurial accomplishments. Recipients receive $10,000 per academic year based on significant entrepreneurial experience.
MBA Women's Leadership Awards
Women’s Leadership Awards in the amount of $10,000 per academic year for the Two-Year MBA program and $15,000 per academic year for the One-Year MBA program are offered to selected full-time MBA candidates upon admission. Awards are made on the basis of demonstrated leadership in career and other life activities, and a vision of how the Babson MBA will enable the candidate to further develop her leadership potential.
MBA Yellow Ribbon Scholarships
Established by the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, the Yellow Ribbon Program provides veterans with supplemental education funding, beyond the basic benefits, by matching contributions made by a participating college or university. Starting in 2013-2014, qualifying students at Babson will receive an annual $20,000 Yellow Ribbon Scholarship, $10,000 of which is funded by Babson and matched by $10,000 from the Veterans Administration. Candidates should send a copy of the VA Certificate of Eligibility to Babson’s VA Certifying Official in the Registrar’s Office
. The limited number of scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program
The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business is proud to be a part of the Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program.
The Coverdell Fellows Program is a graduate fellowship program for Two-Year students that offers financial assistance to returned Peace Corps Volunteers. During their graduate studies, all Fellows complete internships in underserved American communities, allowing them to bring home and expand upon the skills they learned as Volunteers. Babson will offer up to two fellowships worth $10,000 per recipient per year. Fellows may also be considered for other merit awards and may apply for need-based aid (Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and Federal Work Study).Interviews for the fellowship are part of the official application process. Interviews are by invitation only and are scheduled by the Graduate Admissions Office.
Babson MBA Scholars
Babson Scholars receive $5,000 per academic year for the Two-Year MBA program and $7,500 for the One-Year MBA program. Scholars are full-time MBA candidates and are expected to provide leadership in the classroom and Babson community.
Babson and City Year's Give a Year Partnership
Established to highlight the power of knowledge and service in addressing social problems, the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business offers the City Year Scholarship, valued at one-quarter tuition for selected candidates in either the One-Year MBA, Two-Year MBA, or MSM programs. The scholarship will be awarded to a City Year corps member or alumnus who has successfully completed at least one year of service or to a City Year staff member employed for at least 2 years. Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards based on strength of their admission application.
