Presidential Scholarships

Since 1992, Babson has awarded 20 Presidential Scholarships each year to highly deserving incoming first-year students.

Program Format

Presidential Scholars receive four-year, half-tuition scholarships, renewable each year with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Candidates for the Presidential Scholarship are evaluated based on the information in their admission applications; no separate application is required. The Presidential Scholars program is designed around the following themes:

  • First year – Leadership
  • Sophomore year – Career Considerations
  • Junior year – Multicultural and Global Perspectives
  • Senior year – Social Innovation and Philanthropy

Scholars meet monthly, with activities and invited guests supporting development around the four themes. Each cohort—a group of students that forms a tight-knit team throughout the program—also will explore new academic and professional areas of interest, reflect upon current events around the world, and work collaboratively to develop unique Signature Scholar Experiences.

“There is a sense of community among the Presidential Scholars. I love getting to know all of the Presidential Scholars through the fun activities we have done so far like learning to make sushi and even through simple things like dinners around campus. I can’t wait to see what the program grows into in future years!”
