As a Babson alumnus/a, you may retain the email address you had as a student or create an email address using firstname.lastname@example.org.
As a member of the Babson community, you may be issued a new Babson account or new email address at any time depending upon your role in the College (such as, but not limited to, where a student becomes an employee or an employee becomes a student). All alumni email at the College is powered by Gmail. Below are answers to frequently asked questions about Babson Gmail.
How do I access my Babson Gmail mailbox?
To open your Babson Gmail account, go to gmail.babson.edu and enter the username and password you utilize to login to the Alumni Directory. Note that when you log in to the Babson Gmail mailbox for the first time, you will need to accept the Google Terms and Conditions.
What if I don’t remember my username or password?
If you've forgoten your username, please use our username retrieval tool. If you've forgotten your password, please use our password reset tool. (The password reset tool is connected to the preferred email we have on file for you. You may need to contact the Alumni & Friends Network to update your email)
May I set up forwarding within my Gmail account?
By default, all emails sent to your Babson address will be delivered to your Babson Gmail mailbox. You have the option to forward emails sent to your Babson address to an external address (e.g. Yahoo, Hotmail). If you did not forward your email, all email sent to your Gmail email address will stay in your Inbox. See Instructions for Forwarding Email within Gmail.
What if I already have a Gmail account?
Your personal Gmail account and the Babson Gmail mailbox are separate and unique from eachother. The Babson Gmail mailbox will require a different login from your pre-existing personal Gmail account. You may, however, forward your Babson Gmail to your personal (pre-existing) Gmail account.
When I try to log into Babson Gmail, I receive an “account temporarily disabled” message. What should I do?
Please contact the IT Help Desk at email@example.com or 781-239-HELP (4357) so that we may reset your password. Then, navigate your browser to the Forgot Password Page. On the Forgot Password page, please enter your username (the letters before the @babson.edu) and click Retrieve. An email containing a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address we have on file for you. Once you have received the email, please click the link to reset your password and follow the on-screen instructions. If you do not receive an email, you may need to contact the Alumni & Friends Network to update your email at 781-239-4562
Once you have reset your password, please visit http://gmail.babson.edu or the Babson Connector in order to check that you can login.
