Make Direct Connections

There are a variety of ways in which you may have a direct connection with Babson’s diverse community. This level of connection often leads to our most rewarding partnerships.

Present as a Guest Speaker in the Classroom

Numerous faculty members have guest speakers in their classrooms each semester. Some speakers are brought in as experts on the current discussion topic Others are brought in as a surprise representative from the company being discussed in the case study.

Host a Plant Tour

As part of an undergraduate or graduate course, students would take a tour of your company facility. Take advantage of the opportunity to engage with enthusiastic college students who will provide you with insight about observations from their visit to your company, as well as their recommendations on a strategic issue or opportunity they examined or discussed at your company. Contact Arline MacCormack at amaccormack@babson.edu for more information.

Engage Student Consultants

The MCFE program and Babson College strengthen and develop relationships with Boston-area organizations by offering undergraduate students the opportunity to work with local companies as consultants. Students also develop marketable skills by learning the consulting process and working in growing fields. Your organization will benefit from this program by working with students to complete a project or address a current challenge in your organization. For more information, visit www.babson.edu/mcfe or contact Arline MacCormack at amaccormack@babson.edu.

Host an Undergraduate Externship

An externship or job-shadowing experience lasts 1 day. It provides students with an opportunity to observe professionals on the job and students will gain an understanding of a career or industry in a focused and informative environment. It also encourages students, alumni, and organizations to forge strong and valuable connections in a shared experience.
