Thomas Alexander joined Babson College as Adjunct Lecturer in July 2012. He also helps with the John E. and Alice L. Butler Venture Accelerator activities in his role as Entrepreneur-at-Large. Prior to this, he was a member of the core faculty of Asian Institute of Management in Philippines since July, 2010. As a Senior Associate Professor, he was actively involved in innovations in teaching which includes a current interest in writing cases in graphic novel format.
As a practitioner, he has founded many companies and has been CEO of a few companies including the role of a forensic CEO. He has also been a general partner of a venture capital firm. His experiences include raising equity investments from top tier venture capital and private equity firms in the silicon valley. He has also played the role of Entrepreneur-in-Residence at USVP, a VC firm located in the silicon valley. He has been involved in two IPO's, two acquisitions and one company bankruptcy.
Thomas Alexander believes in ending the current journey in this world as a net giver as opposed to a net taker. He believes that his current role at Babson helps him to achieve that.
