Professor Busco received his Ph.D. from Manchester Business School, UK. He taught at the University of Manchester, University of Southern California and the University of Siena, Italy. His research areas include Management Control Systems, Activity-Based Cost Management, Integrated Performance Measurement System and the Balanced Scorecard. Professor Busco has published in academic journals such as Management Accounting Research (twicerunner up for the David Solomon prize – best paper of the year in 2007 and 2009), Journal of Management and Governance, Business Horizon and Public Money & Management, as well as in practitioner-oriented journals such as Strategic Finance (Institute of Management Accountants - US), Financial Management (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants - UK), Finance & Management(Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales)andReflections: the Society for Organisational Learning Journal. Professor Busco has also published several books, books chapters, and research reports.
