Mr. Chazen has 27 years experience in the commercial real estate finance and investment business. His career began in 1983 at GE Capital in New York City where he was a commercial real estate loan officer. Mr. Chazen then worked for more than 12 years in Boston as a senior investment officer for investment managers acquiring and managing real estate investments for pension funds and other institutional investors. Most recently, Mr. Chazen has been in the business of advising private real estate companies on forming joint ventures with institutional fund managers, private equity funds and family offices.
Over the last 27 years, Mr. Chazen has closed over $3 billion of real estate investments in major east coast and midwest markets covering office, multifamily, retail and hotel properties. From 2003 to 2007 Mr. Chazen was an elected member of the Town of Wellesley Planning Board, and from 1999 to 2003 he taught a real estate development course at Boston University's Metropolitan College program in real estate studies.
