Dr. Eng has been with Babson College since 1976. He served as Chair of the Marketing Division from 1990 to 1996 and was appointed Babson Leadership Professor in September 2001. He is currently Executive Director of the Asia Institute at Babson College, a self-funded research and educational center. He consults in the areas of high technology marketing and business in Greater China and has been a founder or board of directors member for several American and Chinese start-up companies, including office products, software, and magnetic media firms.
Dr. Eng has taught and developed materials for executive programs in the United States and China for multinational companies such as Lucent, Cisco, and Siemens, as well as for large Chinese companies such as China Motion and BBK. He teaches courses at Tsinghua University Graduate School of Economics and Management, Beijing University Guanghua School of Management, and China Europe International Business School. He traveled extensively in China as a Fulbright Scholar doing research and teaching international marketing and small business entrepreneurship. Dr. Eng has written texts in statistics and promotion. His articles and presentations deal with market research, modeling, market segmentation, and competitive structure. Current writings and presentations about China deal with human resources, state-owned enterprise reform, and the business environment of Greater China. He is currently co-authoring a book on the China economic and business environment.
