Professor of English

 

Kathleen Kelly teaches in the Arts and Humanities Foundation, literature courses at the Intermediate level, and Shakespeare at the advanced level. She is currently designing an intermediate level course focusing on sons and daughters in fiction and memoir.

Professor Kelly teaches and publishes in both literary studies and the theory and pedagogy of writing.  She is a co-author with Janis Forman of The Random House Guide to Business Writing.  She has published articles on the poetry of John Donne and Andrew Marvel, Bakhtin's theory of genres, Brecht's Good woman of Setzuan, and the novels of Julian Barnes.
