Cheryl La Monica has industry experience in telecommunications, international banking, and bank regulation. She worked as a Marketing Manager/Carrier Manager for North America at Telecom Italia in both Rome, Italy and New York. She has done extensive consulting work in telecommunications for U.S. carriers entering the European telecom market while she was based in Rome, Italy. She also has past work experience as an international banker for JP Morgan Chase and as a National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

She was a faculty member in the Business Department at the American University of Rome, in Rome, Italy.
