Evening Students

Change of Status: Part-time to Full-time Student

If you are currently an Evening MBA student in good standing who would like to register for 12 or more credits, you must officially change your status as a part-time Evening MBA student to a full-time Evening MBA student. By becoming a full-time student, you are obligated to obtain health insurance and pay all associated student fees. For more information on the health insurance requirements, please visit Health Services. Change of Status requests should be completed through Graduate E-forms, which are located on the Babson portal.

Moving Away from Babson

Students who relocate during their program may be able to finish their degree at another nationally accredited MBA program. Please note that the maximum amount of post-matriculation credit that may be granted for Evening MBA students is 15 semester hours of course work, provided the student has met the minimum residency requirement of 30 semester hours. In order to process a formal request to finish your degree at another university, please contact the Office of Graduate Programs and Student Affairs at 781-239-4474 or gpsa@babson.edu. Please also review a list of AACSB-accredited MBA institutions.

Waiver Exam Process

Evening students who were not eligible for Advanced Standing Credit in a specific core subject but still feel they know the course material well or have a strong working knowledge of the material are eligible to take a waiver exam. All waiver exams must be taken in a student’s first semester. For more details, please visit the Waiver Exam page.

Degree Audits

Graduation requirement information can be found on the Evening MBA Academic Planning page, along with a Self Degree Audit form. If you would like an Office of Graduate Programs and Student Affairs representative to complete an official degree audit for you, please contact the office at 781-239-4474 or via e-mail at gpsa@babson.edu.

Babson Executive Education Courses

Babson Executive Education offers Evening MBA and Fast Track MBA students the opportunity to earn credits toward their degree while participating in select leadership development programs. While attending these five- to eight-day intensive open enrollment programs, students have the opportunity to network and learn from high-level executives from other companies as well as to solve specific on-the-job challenges.

Evening MBA students can earn a maximum of 3 credits toward their degrees by participating in executive education programs. Fast Track MBA students can earn a maximum of 6 credits toward their degrees.

Grading is recorded as pass/fail. Note: only credit is transferred not grades. Awarded BEEE credit for successfully passing a course will be recorded on the student’s Babson transcript with an asterisk and will not alter the student’s GPA. Evening and Fast Track MBA students are admitted through a selective application process and attend the program as representatives of their companies. Current information on available programs can be found by contacting Babson Executive Education at 781-239-4354 or exec@babson.edu.
