MBA Management Consulting Field Experience

The Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE) provides graduate students an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and experience in an industry or career concentration. Since 1977, Babson students have engaged in these applied learning projects that help to integrate MBA classroom knowledge and demonstrate professional skills.

The learning process provides individuals and team members the opportunity to:

• Demonstrate productive impact in a real corporate or non-profit situation
• Learn and refine skills in project management, team building and communication  
• Gain insight and awareness in how to implement change
• Experience how a project fits in the context of a division, industry, or firm
• Practice making a difference in a project relevant to a career concentration

Experiential learning is not a classroom activity. Instead, graduate students work as a member of a team applying collective knowledge, research skills and creativity to provide solutions that make a difference — for the company, for the student, and for Babson.
