Two-Year Program

Ideal for individuals who need a comprehensive business focus to redirect their careers and want a full-time campus experience.

The Babson MBA via the Two-Year Program provides the opportunity to participate in a full-time course schedule and interact with fellow students on campus on a daily basis. The program divides the curriculum into four modules that cluster relevant academic streams and experiential learning segments to maximize understanding and application of the content.

What does the program structure look like?

Each of the four modules runs for approximately eight weeks. The modules organize the curriculum into the following thematics:

  • Entrepreneurial Thought and Action: Creating and Scaling Effective Businesses: setting focus on entrepreneurial and creative thinking in management.
  • Managing for Value Creation: introduction to the analytical tools and perspectives essential to the creation of value for multiple stakeholders, including shareholders, customers and society.
  • Creating and Sustaining Organizational Effectiveness: builds on the earlier modules’ themes of opportunity identification and assessment by further developing the ability to create and manage systems to capture those opportunities.
  • Growing and Creating New Businesses in a Globally Connected Environment: introduces concepts and tools for managers to succeed in a rapidly changing global environment, where carefully designed information strategy and execution are vital to acting competitively.

In advance of Module III, a one week course, Managing Your Talent and Others, is required. This course is designed to help you build two competencies critical to success as an entrepreneurial leader.

  • Electives: Two-year students are required to take a minimum of one elective in the spring semester of their first year. Learn more about the Elective Curriculum. >>
  • Signature Learning Experiences: Babson MBA students have the opportunity to integrate the knowledge gained in the classroom and apply it to entrepreneurial decision making in real-world situations, all in the context of a global economic environment. These living/learning laboratory experiences occur throughout the four modules. The format of the experience varies depending on the module. Learn more about Experiential Learning. >>
