Career Assessment Process

Students typically begin the career exploration process by using a range of assessment tools and career education resources to evaluate their interests, strengths, and values. The following are some of the assessment tools available to students.

CareerLeader

CareerLeader® is a Web-based comprehensive career assessment tool based on more than 20 years of scientific research. CareerLeader is a sophisticated expert system based on three business career self-assessment inventories and interactive interpretive tools. CareerLeader measures your interests, your abilities, and what you find most motivating in work. The tool is self-directed and the system will guide you through those pages that are relevant for the interpretation of your profiles. You will be able to compare your interest, skill and reward value profiles with the profiles of business professionals from several different MBA career paths.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

MBTI is an assessment instrument to measure behavior patterns and personality types. The results provide an indication of appropriate work roles. It takes less than one hour to complete, and an individual interpretation will be provided by a relationship manager.

Skill Scan

Skill Scan assessment tools have been used by thousands of universities, career coaching practices, and Fortune 500 corporations to provide a fast, interactive, and engaging process for identifying transferable skills and applying the results to career planning, career change, professional development, and self-marketing for the job search. Students explore the implications of the assessment results with a relationship manager. The insights generated through that exercise, coupled with input from peers, faculty, and advisors, help students to identify career paths and organizational cultures aligned with their personal profiles.
