Babson has joined the Clinton Global Initiative University, created by former President Bill Clinton in 2007 to encourage students to develop, discuss, and take action on ideas addressing global challenges. As part of this network, Babson will support and mentor interested students. For more information, contact The Lewis Institute.
This past fall, the Babson Beevers (no, that’s not a misprint) joined 51 other teams to compete in the 23rd Annual Wellesley Spelling Bee, co-sponsored by the College. Although enthusiastic, the Beevers fell early, correctly spelling words such as cauliflower and vertiginate, but tripping up on olpe. Eventual winners the Spellbinders, representing the Wellesley Council on Aging, easily moved ahead, especially in the last, most challenging round. The final word? Sacalait.
Pitching is not a zero-sum game. You don’t just get funding or not. It’s about sharing ideas, getting feedback, and connecting with key influencers. Step up to the plate.
