2011 Asia Pacific STEP Family Summit Takes Place At Kaohsiung National Sun Yat-sen Institute

The 2011 Asia Pacific STEP Family Summit took place at Kaohsiung National Sun Yat-sen Institute.

The 2011 Asia Pacific STEP Family Summit took place at Kaohsiung National Sun Yat-sen Institute on November 18th, 2011.
 
Speakers included STEP Global CEO Pramodita Sharma, who spoke about  Governing a Family, a Firm, and a Family Enterprise: How a Family Enterprise can Achieve Sustainability.
Attending were scholars and family business members from United States, Australia, Japan, China, Korea, India, and Malaysia.
 
Participants included business representatives, academics, and family business members, who participated in panels, shared case studies, and engaged in discussions to understand the actual situations and needs of family businesses.
 
Topics included family business and succession challenges, sharing family businesses, and medium and small second-generation family business experience and heritage.
 
Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP)
Founded in 2005 by Babson College in collaboration with six academic affiliates in Europe, the STEP Project is a global applied research initiative that explores the entrepreneurial process within business families and generates solutions that have immediate application for family leaders. The visionary institutions that founded the project include ESADE (Spain), HEC (France), Jönköping International Business School (Sweden), Universita Bocconi (Italy), Universitat St. Gallen (Switzerland), Universitat Witten/Herdecke (Germany), and Babson College (USA).
