Babson College, the world leader in entrepreneurship education, will host a launch party for its newly expanded
Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab accelerator program in Miami on March 31, 2016. The expansion has been made possible through funding from the
John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Babson’s WIN Lab is a first-of-its-kind program designed to help women entrepreneurs launch successful businesses. The program connects women entrepreneurs to a wide range of experts for guidance. It also provides access to strategic networks and co-working space enabling participants to build on their ideas and expand their ventures.

At the WIN Lab’s first public event in Miami, attendees will learn more about the program, how to apply, and will hear about the accelerator’s goals to help grow the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. The party will feature a keynote from Mary Biggins, Co-Founder of
MealPass, and will showcase additional entrepreneurs from the community, including Julia Ford-Carther, Co-Founder of
Bammies; Jessica Do, Founder of PalmPress; and Isabella Acker, Founder of
Curator of Culture.
New partners of WIN Lab Miami include
Women Innovation & Technology (WIT) – a track within Miami’s homegrown technology conference,
eMerge Americas, helping to propel innovation and investment in South Florida and Latin America, as well as
Wyncode Academy – a coding boot camp which will be offering additional benefits to women selected to participate in the program. Wyncode Academy Co-founder Johanna Mikkola will serve as an
Entrepreneur-in-Residence for WIN Lab Miami, and will speak at the event.

Babson’s Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab
Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) at Babson College launched the WIN Lab in Boston in October 2013 to build on the institution’s leadership in advancing women-led entrepreneurship. In just over two years, the WIN Lab has produced positive outcomes for more than 63 participants and has been
recognized by several organizations. It has been designated as one of the top two “specialty” programs for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship; earned BostInno’s designation as one of Boston’s “50 on Fire” innovators and visionaries; and was honored by the prestigious Rosoff Awards for diversity.
