FedEx Corp. Sponsors Babson College Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab® Miami

New sponsorship will help catalyze the accelerator’s success as it connects and trains the future women business leaders of Miami

Babson WIN LabBabson College has announced that FedEx Corp. is sponsoring the school’s Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab® Miami.

The WIN Lab® a first-of-its-kind program helping women entrepreneurs launch successful businesses—was originally launched in 2013 in Boston by Babson’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL). This year, the WIN Lab expanded to Miami with a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

The program connects local women entrepreneurs to a wide range of experts for guidance, offers training sessions, and provides participants with access to strategic networks and co-working space.

As a global transportation company that works closely with entrepreneurs and small business owners, FedEx understands the importance of supporting such ventures, and the integral role entrepreneurs play in boosting the economy.

“The WIN Lab at Babson College catalyzes women to think big and scale their businesses,” said Heatherjean MacNeil, Global Director of WIN Lab at Babson College. “With the support of FedEx, the WIN Lab Miami will revolutionize the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and bring more women entrepreneurs to the cutting edge of innovation.”

“FedEx is proud to support the Babson College WIN Lab in Miami,” said Jenny Robertson, FedEx Director of Global Citizenship.“The program aligns well with our focus on Global Entrepreneurship, one of several giving areas under our FedEx Cares community investment strategy. We’re working to advance women and minority-owned small businesses globally, helping them access new markets and grow. The WIN Lab program has a proven track record of success, and we’re excited about the potential it brings to women entrepreneurs in Miami."

Together, Babson’s WIN Lab Miami and FedEx will support the best and brightest women entrepreneurs within Miami’s evolving business ecosystem and collaborate to enhance their success.
