Bennett University Joins Babson Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Educators (GCEE)

Collaborates with Babson Global for programs for Indian students and entrepreneurs

Babson Global​ has announced an agreement to collaborate with Bennett University, an emerging University in the National Capital Region, to set up a global-edge operation including programs for Indian students and entrepreneurs.

As part of the collaboration, Bennett University will become the 15th member of the Babson Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Educators (GCEE). GCEE disseminates Babson’s practical and proven methodologies for teaching entrepreneurship and provides a structure to foster collaboration among like-minded institutions around the world.

The collaboration was announced by Dr. Kerry Healey​, President of Babson College, and Vineet Jain, Managing Director of Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd / The Times Group, and a trustee of Bennett University. The announcement was made in the presence of Shrijeet Mishra, CEO – Education, The Times Group and Dr. Yaj Medury, Vice-Chancellor designate, Bennett University.

The collaboration seeks to promote cooperation in curricular and faculty development in order to create an Indian university with a focus on entrepreneurship as a way of life at par with global standards.

Commenting on the occasion, President Healey said, “Babson Global is pleased and proud to welcome Bennett University as the newest member in the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Educators (GCEE), an international alliance designed to expand the reach and impact of entrepreneurship education.”

Speaking at the press event to announce the collaboration, Vineet Jain, Trustee of Bennett University, said “Bennett University is envisioned as a multi-disciplinary research-driven University that aims to provide a high-quality well-rounded academic experience to Indian students, on par with the best institutions globally. With a desire to benchmark ourselves with the best globally, and to offer the best to our students, we have agreed to work together with the world-leader in entrepreneurship education for setting up the center​ of excellence for curriculum development, faculty training programs.”
