Commencement 2017 Recap

This year’s Commencement exercises were a joyous celebration for our graduates, families, guests and the entire Babson community. Thank you all for your hard work leading up to Commencement week and throughout the weekend.

Commencement is a significant undertaking, and this year in particular required a true team effort as we welcomed Her Excellency, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia, to our Babson community. President Sirleaf’s inspiring message was a fitting sendoff for our graduates and an amazing tribute to the power and potential of entrepreneurship to transform the world for the better:

“At a time when many around the world are looking to build walls, close doors, and limit interactions across cultures, the entrepreneur, by his or her own definition, is a bridge builder. A door opener. A problem solver. I salute you, the next generation of innovators and bridge builders. I congratulate your families and friends who enabled you to succeed. I celebrate this remarkable institution of higher learning that has extended a hand to me and to my countrymen and women.”
