Service Learning
Service learning is an educational experience that enhances classroom learning and allows students to make a difference in the world—as part of a team or individually. At Babson, service experiences are embedded into many of the academic classes. These experiences challenge first-year students to serve the community and reflect on how one can continue to give. By senior year, students will have the opportunity to use their unique abilities to analyze and take action on social justice issues as trained social entrepreneurs. Some courses include:
- Approaches to Human Rights
- Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship
- Ghana: Culture, Society & Entrepreneurship In a Developing Economy
- Joint service-learning course with Stellenbosch University in South Africa (for MBAs; contact Graduate Programs and Student Affairs for more information)
- Leadership
- Management Consulting Field Experience
- Managing in a Competitive Environment
- Organizing for Effective Management
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Social Responsibility Eco-Entrepreneurs Turkey
