In the same way that we support our students to learn and develop, we support and invest in our employees, too. It’s key to our success. As a world-class college, we need our people to set the tempo, becoming the learning pioneers who seek out new approaches, advocate continuous learning, and lead by example when it comes to owning and driving personal development.

Continuous Learning is one of Babson’s six core competencies, so we place great importance on the ongoing development of our employees. The College’s continuous learning objective is to provide opportunities that enhance near-term job performance, employee engagement, and achievement of career goals; and the Organizational Learning and Development department provides a variety of services to promote employees’ personal and professional growth. Employees and supervisors are encouraged to take an active role in identifying and pursuing opportunities on and off campus to sustain continued learning.

In addition to offering a variety of skills training workshops for employees at all levels, Babson also highlights its commitment to continuous learning through our semiannual Community Learning Day which represents a unique design and approach to workplace learning by giving all Babson College faculty and staff the opportunity to invest in professional and personal development and connect, grow, and give back to the community.

Continuous Learning generally refers to workshops or seminars offered to teach specific skills or knowledge, or opportunities that allow employees to develop personally.

Organizational Development refers to a systematic approach to improving individual, group and/or organizational effectiveness.

    This weekly meditation class will be led by Babson&rsquo;s Meditation Instructor, Rick Landwehr, who will guide participants through a variety of accessible meditation techniques. These simple and direct practices cultivate relaxation, mindfulness, and basic wellbeing. By relaxing tension and opening to our sensory experience through these techniques, participants will learn new means of working with stress, difficult emotions, physical discomfort, and the challenges we encounter in our lives. As a teacher, her mission is to provide students with a safe, sacred space with her guidance, knowledge and tools offered as support. She loves to teach a variety of classes from restorative to power, all of which tie breath with movement to a well thought out and sequenced flow. She includes the solid backbones of the practice&mdash;like functional movement and energetic organization&mdash;always presented with lightheartedness as she accommodate all levels. She also loves to bring some fun into her classes.     Would you like to take your running to the next level?<br /> This 6-week training series is designed specifically to meet the needs of runners. The goal of the series is to enhance each participant&rsquo;s running efficiency, strength and speed. All levels of runners are welcome. Each participant will work from their individual fitness level. The workouts will be tailored to meet the needs and fitness abilities of the participants.<br /> <br /> Workouts will begin with a short warm-up run, and then will vary in content. Examples of workout content includes: speed work, hill work and strength and endurance exercises specific to a runner&rsquo;s needs.<br /> <br /> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Cambria, serif; color: #000000;">This 6-week series consists of weekly workouts on Wednesdays, September 19, 2018 thru Wednesday October, 24, 2018.     Would you like to take your running to the next level?<br /> This 6-week training series is designed specifically to meet the needs of runners. The goal of the series is to enhance each participant&rsquo;s running efficiency, strength and speed. All levels of runners are welcome. Each participant will work from their individual fitness level. The workouts will be tailored to meet the needs and fitness abilities of the participants.<br /> <br /> Workouts will begin with a short warm-up run, and then will vary in content. Examples of workout content includes: speed work, hill work and strength and endurance exercises specific to a runner&rsquo;s needs.<br /> <br /> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Cambria, serif; color: #000000;">This 6-week series consists of weekly workouts on Wednesdays, September 19, 2018 thru Wednesday October, 24, 2018.
