Connecting to the Babson Secured Network Using Windows XP

1.) Open the Control Panel and then open Network Connections. Right click on Wireless Network Connection and click Properties. You will now see the screen pictured on the left.​

2.) Click on the Wireless Networks tab and select babson from the Preferred Networks list. Click Properties. If babson is not in the list of Preferred Networks click Add (see image on left.)​

3.) Ensure the Network Name (SSID) is babson. Select WPA2 from the Network Authentication drop-down box. Select AES from the Data encryption box. The settings should look like the screen on the left. When you are finished click the Authentication tab.​

4.) In the EAP type drop-down box select Protected EAP (PEAP). Also uncheck the box next to "Authenticate as computer..." Your settings should look like the image on the left. Click the Properties button when finished.​

5.) Uncheck the box next to Validate server certificate. Make sure that Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2) is selected in the Select Authentication Method section. Your settings should look like the image on the left. When you are finished click the Configure... button next to the authentication method.​

6.) Uncheck the box next to Automatically use my Windows logon name...  - your settings should look like the image on the left. Click OK when finished and continue clicking OK until you are back to the Network Connections page.​
