International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This annual initiative promotes international understanding and builds support for international education and exchange. IEW encourages programs that prepare citizens to live and work in a global environment. This joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide. Here at Babson, International Education Week is recognized as an important part of our identity. It is an opportunity to share our individual and collective culture. This year we mark our 8th year of participation in the celebration of International Education Week.  

 
The Fall 2012 Education Abroad Photo Contest is in full swing! 
We received 63 photos from 36 photographers in the Babson Community! 
The photos will be on display from November 5 – 9 on Reynolds Main Street. 

This year, the Babson Community can vote online for the photo that deserves the title of, “Viewer’s choice”.   Please, only one vote per person!  To vote for the photo that you believe deserves the title of “Viewer’s Choice”, please click here.

Join Student Financial Services and the Glavin Office of Multicultural and International Programs to learn more about scholarships and grants for study abroad!  Each year undergraduate students who are participating on a multitude of programs for semester-long study win scholarships and grants from program providers, regional organizations, and national organizations to help defray the cost of study abroad.  Learn how to find scholarships and grants and what to do to apply.  If you are thinking about studying abroad during the fall 2013 semester or for academic year 2013 - 2014, this session is for you!

More than 5,300 people have died since suspected separatists resumed their armed campaign to seek independence for the three southern Muslim-majority provinces of Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala eight years ago.

The militants are rebelling against a history of perceived discrimination against ethnic Malay Muslims by successive Thai governments and alleged rights abuses by the army.

All proceeds of this event will be donated to Soldiers and Casualties in Southern part of Thailand.
