Probable August graduates who choose to participate in the May Commencement ceremony must complete and return a Commencement Walker Form by the deadline listed on the form. Walkers must also complete the Commencement Clearance Process (CCP) and the Application For Degree. Honors

Latin honors are calculated in May of each year. The awards are based on cumulative grade point averages (GPAs) of all graduates by program from within the current academic year (August, December, and May graduates). Program is defined as students enrolled in the One-Year MBA, Two-Year MBA, Blended Learning MBA, Evening MBA, MSA, or MSM programs. Babson does not release the specific GPA cutoff information. Honors are not printed on diplomas, but are printed on transcripts. Students who earn honors will be notified via email in May.

The current graduate honors ranges are:

  • Summa Cum Laude: Students with top 5% highest GPAs by program within the academic year.
  • Magna Cum Laude: Students with next 10% highest GPAs by program within the academic year.
  • Cum Laude: Students with next 10% highest GPAs by program within the academic year.
