Assistant Dean, Community Standards

Colleen Ryan has worked in Community Standards at Babson College since August 2010 when she was hired as the first dedicated director for Community Standards.  In 2013, she was promoted to Assistant Dean for Community Standards and Deputy Title IX Coordinator.

In her role as Assistant Dean for Community Standards, Colleen is tasked with providing the vision for and overseeing the management of the College's student conduct process for undergraduate and graduate students. She also advises the Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs on legislative and legal developments. As the Deputy Title IX Coordinator, she is responsible for overseeing all student-on-student Title IX-related complaints and providing training for students and staff regarding College's gender-based misconduct policy and procedures.

Prior to joining Babson in 2010, Colleen served as the director of the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution for Northeastern University in Boston. Colleen earned her BA in psychology from Boston College and her MEd in higher education from Loyola University Chicago.  She is actively involved in her professional association, ASCA, the Association of Student Conduct Administration.
