Associate Dean for Student Engagement

Caitlin Capozzi

Caitlin Capozzi has worked in the Student Affairs division at Babson College since June 2011, with experience in residence life, fraternity and sorority life, student activities, and leadership. She began in the role of assistant director for Student Activities and Leadership, and created the framework and curriculum for Babson College’s Leadership LAB: Emerging Leaders Program (first-years), Evolving Leaders Experience (sophomores and juniors), and Active Leaders Program (seniors). These comprehensive programs continued their development with a focus on entrepreneurial leadership with a global mindset as she moved into the director role in the spring of 2012. While director, Capozzi worked to revitalize Fraternity and Sorority Life and redesign a Babson-specific Orientation program for all new students attending the College.

In her role as associate dean for Student Engagement, Capozzi is tasked with aligning Student Activities and Leadership, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Residence Education, and Community Standards, providing the opportunity to achieve high levels of intentionality and consistency with respect to how students engage with their Babson experience beyond the classroom. She is responsible for providing the vision, strategic management, and supervision of a comprehensive cocurricular program designed to meet the needs of the undergraduate and graduate student body, as well as providing consistent engagement with the family community of Babson College.

Working in conjunction with the vice president of Student Affairs and his senior leadership team, Capozzi is responsible for working collaboratively across the College to ensure that the 154 hours that students spend outside of the classroom uniquely meets the needs of Babson students and allows them to draw upon their classroom experience across their campus and community engagement. She also serves as a chair for the gender-based misconduct panel, Dean On Call, and as the senior-level hearing officer for the College. Capozzi earned her BS in magazine journalism from Syracuse University and her MA in interpersonal communication from New York University.
