Special Assistant to the Vice President

Kate DeebKate Deeb joined the Student Affairs division in October 2012. Prior to joining the Student Affairs division, Kate was a member of the Office of Academic Services. Kate first came to Babson as a Program Manager, before being promoted into the Class Dean position. Her experiences in residence life, admissions, academic services, new student orientation, and career services bring the Student Affairs division a wealth of knowledge with her previous work across multiple divisions at a number of colleges and universities.

In her role as the Special Assistant to the Vice President, Kate assists the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students in the daily administration of, and support for all division programs including strategic initatives, special projects, and divsional communication. Also, Kate is specifically responsible for working collaboratively across all academic and administrative units of the College to ensure policies, procedures, systems and employees are organized to support the personal, social, cultural, and intellectual growth of students. She provides the leadership, coordination, and expertise to the development and implementation of comprehensive and integrated planning, budget and assessment and strategies for the Division of Student Affairs.

Kate did her graduate work at Syracuse University (NY), earning her Master’s of Science Degree in Higher Education Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in history and a minor in education from LeMoyne College (NY). Kate has served three years on the Executive Board of the Massachusetts College Personnel Association (MCPA). She has presented at numerous conferences including Massachusetts College Personnel Association (MCPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and the First Year Experience Conference.
