Signature Events

Babson College offers a number of community-wide programs and events that promote engagement between students, graduate and undergraduate, faculty and staff. Some examples of these programs are:

Reunion and Homecoming

Reunion and Homecoming is a time for classmates to come together, share memories about their Babson days, learn about the College today, and reinvest in Babson's future.

Blank Business Plan Competition

Babson College was the first academic institution to hold a business plan competition for students. Each year, Babson alumni from around the world volunteer their time to evaluate student business plans. Based on their feedback, three finalists are chosen to compete in both the Douglass Foundation Graduate Business Plan Competition and the John H. Muller Undergraduate Business Plan Competition.

Blank Rocket Pitch Competition

Sponsored by the Blank Center, Rocket Pitch is an annual competition where Babson and Olin entrepreneurs (students and alumni) have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a large audience of students, faculty, entrepreneurs, investors, and service providers.

Founder’s Day

Since 1947, a day has been set aside to honor Roger Ward Babson, founder and first president of Babson College, and his special passion for entrepreneurship, education, and philanthropy. On Founder's Day, the Babson community joins together to celebrate, commemorate the College’s past, honor the present, and anticipate our future successes.

International Education Week

Spearheaded by the Glavin Office of Multicultural and International Education, International Education Week is an annual initiative that promotes international understanding and builds support for international education and exchange.

Late Night Breakfast

A Babson tradition! At the end of the fall semester before final exams, Trim Dining Hall opens for an evening of breakfast for all current students - served by our very own faculty and staff.

Martin Luther King Legacy Day

Martin Luther King Legacy Day brings students together to reflect on the work and teachings of Dr. King and the efforts that continue in his name today. Events include a keynote address, an awards presentation, and a series of contests focused on diversity and inclusion.

Multicultural Fair

The Multicultural Fair provides an avenue by which members of the Babson community, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff, can showcase “who they are” through various components of their culture. Fellow community members are introduced and exposed to the true multicultural fabric of Babson College.
